At COP16, Nature Action 100 reveals results of its first benchmark assessments of corporate action on nature

The Nature Action 100 Company Benchmark assesses corporate progress toward key investor expectations on nature. 

Benchmark results show most companies are still early in their nature journeys and more urgent and ambitious action is needed to mitigate growing material financial risks. 

The company benchmark assessments are a major milestone for the initiative and its investor participants.

Nature Action 100 unveils benchmark indicators for assessing corporate ambition and action on nature

The Nature Action 100 Company Benchmark will measure progress toward the initiative’s Investor Expectations of Companies.

The field guide outlines nature impacts and dependencies in eight priority sectors deemed systemically important to reversing nature loss by 2030.

Nature Action 100 announces companies, start of investor engagement process to catalyze greater action on nature loss

Unveils 100 companies in key sectors that investor participants have engaged, along with the investors who are calling for urgent nature action  

Nature Action 100, the first global investor engagement initiative to address the urgent crisis of nature and biodiversity loss around the world, unveiled a list of 100 companies in key sectors in which 190 institutional investor participants – representing $23.6 trillion in assets under management or advice – will engage.

Secretariat selected for collaborative global investor engagement initiative to drive nature action

A new collaborative global investor engagement initiative set to ‘soft’ launch later this year has announced today that the Secretariat and Corporate Engagement work stream will be co-led by the sustainability advocacy nonprofit Ceres and the investor network Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC).
