AO Commitment
Paris Aligned Asset Owners are a global group of 57 asset owners, with over $3.3 trillion in assets. They have committed to transitioning their investments to achieve net zero portfolio GHG emissions by 2050, or sooner, drawing on the Net Zero Investment Framework to deliver these commitments.
On 9 November, to coincide with Finance Day at COP27, the Paris Aligned Asset Owners initiative published its first progress report, which presents an overview of the actions taken by signatories to implement their net zero commitments, as well as the work underway by the investor networks and their members to develop methodologies and support implementation. These new and enhanced commitments are complemented by a number of asset managers who are already working with clients on net zero alignment. Many of these asset managers have already made net zero commitments through the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative.
